In the last two weeks I have seen and experienced more of the tangible glory of God than any time in my entire life. This downpour of His sweet Presence has resulted (and should ALWAYS result) in numerous, salvations, deliverances, healings, signs and wonders, miracles and mass repentance in cities all over the world. While I can’t really explain or even fully understand why this is happening  now…I do know this…GOD IS NEAR!!!

Isaiah 55: 6 declares:
“Seek the Lord while he may be found, call on Him while He is near.”

We are in a season where HE IS NEAR AND CLOSE TO US!! We MUST call on Him!!

He is not reluctant to come!! We don’t have to (and can’t) “convince” Him by striving, working, or pushing to get Him in our midst. The fact is…HE’S ALREADY HERE!! We just have to quiet our crazy lives and agendas to wait on Him in complete brokeness and rest. 100% of the time we’ve done this in a meeting in the past few weeks…in my home…in my car…and wherever and whenever…HE’S ACTUALLY ANSWERED OUR CRIES!! It all started in San Francisco where on Easter Sunday over a dozen people received Jesus as their Saviour in what wasn’t the “typical” Easter service (we held nothing back for those once-a-year church folks - God showed up as the REAL SEEKER!!). Later that night…massive people were healed from very longstanding physical and emotional issues! My friend Caleb poured anointing oil in a large cup so he could anoint all the people at the altar for a fresh shower of God’s Presence in their lives. After one hour of pouring it all over people’s heads… we had more oil than when we started!! Now…thats a SIGN THAT MAKES YOU WONDER!! These signs continued to Corpus Christi where several worship nights the Presence got so thick that gold dust covered my guitar pedals! I dont care if you dont believe this stuff…but its really happening!! Although our focus is ALWAYS on His Face…these signs are pretty cool indications that He is moving in our midst!!

In Winnipeg, Canada or MIDDLE EARTH as I call it (the city marks the very center of our continent)..this “nearness” continued! Heaven was unleashed on hungry hearts as we cried out and contended for a fresh pouring over all of North America!! We are believing for something bigger than what Toronto or Brownsville experienced…a NEW thing! As a wave of repentance came forth in Minneapolis and Wisconsin this past weekend…the end result was healings and miracles! Its funny how the simple act of repentance can trigger a flow of healings like never before!

As I’ve struggled lately with being overloaded with an intense schedule…missing my gorgeous wife (love you Kate!)..and wondering how everything is gonna get done that needs to get done (can anyone relate?)…God showed me this verse during my “whining” session with Him the other day…and it helps explain the recent outpourings.

2 Corinthians 6:2:
“I tell you, NOW is the time of God’s favor, NOW is the day of Salvation.”

The key word is NOW. We’ve been talking, dreaming, strategizing about it for too long..and I believe its time to put our money, time, resources, sleepless nights, and resources to where our mouths are!! So onward we push and waste ourselves on Him in this season of Grace and Salvation!! Today is the day of Salvation!! Not tomorrow…not when we “feel” like it or it “makes sense” to our puny brains…but NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!

I am on a plane right now headed for Amsterdam, Holland where we are believing for this crazy release to continue in arguably the darkest city in the world! I tell people all over the world…if this “Presence and Tabernacle of David thing” can’t work in the darkest places…it can’t work anywhere!!

God reminded me of this saying during worship a few nights ago:

“APRIL SHOWERS WILL BRING MAY FLOWERS”

In this month of this year and this time in the history of humanity…God IS NEAR! I’ve been hearing similar reports like I mentioned above all over the earth!! God desires to pour out His Presence in the month of April more than anytime in History!! He has an agenda with all this and its not just so we can get goose bumps, witness cool healings, see gold dust and have “fire tunnels”…the end result of this whole deal is ACTS 15:17 -

…..”THAT THE REST OF HUMANITY MAY SEEK THE LORD!!!”

It always is and will always be about THE LOST!!! Thats what this prayer movement and these BURN furnaces are all about!! If we dont get this now and ACT on it…then we’re gonna miss the greatest AWAKENING the worlds ever seen!!

The April showers are gonna produce a HARVEST OF SOULS in the month of May unlike any time in history! Get the download and “showers” of His Presence in April…and then GET OUT of the prayer room, your 9-5 jobs, your pretty services and HIT THE STREETS!! We’ll be doing it all week in Amsterdam and are gonna test this theory in the Red Light District where we’ll be BURNING, fasting, soaking, and then TAKING IT to the prostitutes, druggies, hurting, dying and lost.

Dallas, TX l 04.02.08

Its wayyyy past my bedtime here in Dallas and I’m packing up last minute things for another 11 day journey that will begins with the first Canada Burn Lauch in Winnipeg (I call it “middle earth” because its the exact center of the North American Continent), Minneapolis, Southeast Wisconsin, and Chicago for Burn Previews, and then Amsterdam and Norway for a full on BURN global leadership Summit, YWAM “Presence BURN school” test, and much more!!

Its wild to sit and watch the doors God is divinely opening up for this call to create “resting places” for God in our cities across the earth!! A prime example of this is our decision to connect with the BURNERS going for it in Oslo, Norway on just a whisper from God…and now it turns out we’ll be playing/sharing BURN DNA on live national TV in front of millions of people!!! Who would have thought?!? He just wants this more than we can even imagine!!! There’s nothing like being caught up in the dream of Heaven for a generation! Its not like you don’t have to work for anything or it all comes easy…but even in the most stressful, busy, hectic, and crazy seasons (like RIGHT NOW!) there is so much grace and accessibility to His presence!! Its almost like He is waiting on us to come to Him so He can just give us a big huge drink of His refreshing waters!!

This last weekend God rained down His glory right in the middle of my exhaustion!! I was coming off another insane week being in a different city every day (Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, Corpus Christi) but seeing so much fruit from what God was doing! People were getting healed, delivered and saved when His glory would come and rest with us!! In the Bay Area at Calebs church…we saw close to a dozen people get saved on Easter morning!!! It doesn’t get much more incredible than that!! We pretty much just did a worship, intercession, impartation, fire service with all the one-time-a-year-church-people…and it worked!!! When God was swirling in the room…He sought out the hearts of the people!!

Anyway…back to last weekend in Tyler, TX…it was absolutely beautiful!! People gathered from all over the region as we opened the Eastern Gate of Texas and Awakened Love (conference was called “awaken love”) in the hearts of Gods people and His church! It was the most glorious and heavenly mix of worship and prophetic release I’ve ever been apart of!! Maybe its because the people there werent the typical “conference crowd” and didn’t know what to expect or how to act…or maybe just because they were hungry! Bob Jones, Bobby Conner and Brad Mcclendon came on the heels of 8 hours of straight vertical worship every night (started at noon that day) and released Gods very practical word to the region and the people. It was almost like the words had wings when they were given after intense worship like that. The atmosphere was clear and free!! I think this may be a model and idea to work from!

Getting to the point of this email…the very first night of the conference…expectations were high and people were pumped about what God was doing through the worship. Its funny how when God’s presence enters the room…a bunch of curious onlookers not used to prophetic or vertical worship quickly turn into LOVERS!!! Thats my favorite part! So I got this bright idea that I was going to release some powerful, profound, prophetic, “never-heard-of-before” word of the Lord to these people as I was leading worship. I opened my bible in the midst of these great, world-renown prophets to declare it…and there in book of Amos were the words that jumped out on the page that seemed surprisingly NOT profound - “SEEK ME AND LIVE.” I surely thought this wasnt it…so i scanned down the page and there it was again “SEEK ME AND LIVE” and then it came AGAIN (total of three times in Chapter 5 - verses 4, 6, 14). This phrase haunted me for the next 30 minutes as I decided if I was going to share it!! Well…i decided I really wanted to “live” myself…so I released this simple truth and the literal wind of God blew in the room when I said it. I guess that kinda stuff happens all the time around Bob Jones and stuff…but I’ve never experienced it to that degree ever!! I guess God was agreeing with His word in Amos!!

I really feel this word is what God is saying to a desperate and dying western church (or any church for that matter) in this hour. Its the same thing He is declaring to a lost generation that are so full of themselves they can’t even see straight. He is speaking it to Christianity - resource - rich America. in It all boils down to this simple, practical, but very powerful word from the Father.

SEEK ME AND LIVE.

Pray for us as we journey on tomorrow and carry this message and revelation of Gods Presence to cities and nations around the world!!

God is speaking to people hungry enough to listen and take heed!!!

WE WANT TO SEEK YOU LORD!!! WE WANT TO LIVE!!! WE WANT TO SEE THE THINGS WE’VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF FATHER!!!
