This is the word from a leader in Tulsa. Please take it with an open heart, and seek the Lord for guidance in prayer for this season - as a church!

“Several months ago I saw a vision of people standing on a wooden floor.  I saw that the wooden floor was about to give way.  The people were afraid and didn’t know what to do, as the floor cracked more and more, and eventually caved in.  All the people fell through the floor - but they were shocked when they realized they only fell about a foot.  Underneath the wood floor was a solid cement foundation.  

I knew that the wooden floor was a false foundation and that it wasn’t going to last long.  Yet I also knew that the true foundation was underneath, ready to catch us all.  

The false foundation in American Christianity has been the illusion of financial security.  

I hear the Lord declaring… “Remember!  This is not your home!”  We are aliens in this world.  We are spiritual beings, and we’re not dependent upon the stability or instability of life around us.  We are of a Heavenly Kingdom, and our source of Life does not fluctuate.  The backbone of this truth is about to become central to life.    

False foundations are going to be revealed by their failure… and it’s a marvelous thing.  

I keep feeling the excitement of the Holy Spirit within me…  like He’s anxiously awaiting Christmas morning.  Our finest hour is just around the corner.  This is the time to shine with the true peace of Jesus Christ.  The depth of our trust will show the world that every ounce of our being is rooted in Christ - the King of our true homeland.  

Our peace will be the testimony.  Our trust will be the root.   

Will we trust Him no matter what happens around us?  Will we trust that no matter what we face in this world our joy, our love and our reason for living hasn’t changed?  

As we look at possible financial and social devastation in the natural, I see a wave of a revival of souls in the Spirit.  True revival is stirring.  I see the birthing of a new bread of intensely fervent Christ Followers who recognize the spiritual doors of opportunity opening all around them.  Doors of lost souls being saved.  Doors of broken believers looking for Truth.  Doors of the poor, sick and oppressed turning for help in the face of Jesus.  Doors of true wisdom being poured out.  Doors of supernatural visitation & crazy provision.  Doors of servanthood and humility.  

 I literally feel the Holy Spirit like a race horse behind the gate that is about to open to mark the beginning of the race.  Like He’s there, chomping at the bit, waiting for The Father to say “Now!” and then the fullness of the Kingdom will come forth with more forcefulness than in the book of Acts.  

Seemingly negative circumstances surrounding our nation is in one dimension.  In the dimension of the Spirit it’s a whole different story.  If we are led by what we see in the natural our survival instincts will cause us to pull back, reserve, preserve and store up.  But if we can have eye’s in the Spirit in this hour, I believe our instincts will react in the opposite way.  We will see that this will be our time to charge forward.  This will be our time to take the land, to conquer and establish the work of the King, to stand in our bold confession and carry the peace that passes all understanding.  And the Holy Spirit is saying “Yes!  Get ready!  It’s time to storm ahead in unruffled bravery and confident audacity…  and know that His Power is at work!”  ”

So I am sitting here in an overcrowded townhouse bedroom. I am upstairs and set up between two other guys on the floor, and two other guys on the other side of the room. The fan is blowing hard, and trying to keep us cool, as the humidity and body heat cause quite a warm environment.

On my left, Andy Bird. He is an amazing firebrand from the main YWAM mission base. He has been there 10 years and is full of zeal for the presence of God an the nations. On my immediate right, Lucas Skrobot, director of the Burn Denver. He is locked and loaded, watch out - fire breather.

Other side of the room - Jim Errod - He gets the bed, as he is the elder of all of us. He is on the senior leadership team for YWAM in Kona, Hawaii. He is an amazing father, as he has labored 35 years launching ministries, and missionaries (all the same as living sacrifices) into the farthest darkest corners of the earth. He is pouring out blessing and approval on the movement that we are so embracing.

Last, but certainly not least, Nathan Fray. He is an individual living in a community house/recording studio/24-7 house of prayer in Knoxville, TN. Amazing testimony about how determined kids can too be a part of what is going on to influence film and music with a $0 budget. Yeah, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

As I sit here sweating, neck kinked from being in an awkward position between two random guys and trying to be quiet and comfortable, I realize that I have been born for two things. I have been born to worship, and I have been born to birth a wide spread knowledge and understanding of a kingdom principles.

I can’t sit back any longer and say, I know how to network, and I know so and so, and I can get this for you know who. I have to use the tools - people and resource and money - that God has given me to pursue the cause of the greater good - the Glory of God in the earth, which is the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all those that are deemed worthy enough to accept the responsibly of losing our lives, so that we might gain it. (That is every human by the way.)

I am inspired and I feel dwarfed by such accomplished individuals, who have 50+ stamps in their passports, and commissioned thousands of missionaries and have even more testimonies to the things God has done miraculously in the recent past. However, I feel as though all of us have the one thing that matters, and that is why the network is formed, and why things are accelerated, and why prayers are answered - We love Jesus, and we are dedicated to the Kingdom being advanced in our hearts, in our families, and in our local communities. It is just icing on the cake when our visions go international.

I was reminded by one of my best friends the other day, as he mentioned the things he would tell someone if he only had a moment left in his life. He said the following:

1) I would say, “Seek God.”
2) Look for Jesus. He’s the only way.

We are all tied together as the priests, whores, saints, moms, prophetic glory stir swirlers, and fathers, all of which are called into order as the HEIRS OF GOD. We are to pursue the things in our hearts, which God planted in our souls in the realm of free will, well before the foundations of the earth were established, to accomplish with blazing speed and zeal the will of God in the earth - which is to exalt God in our praise, establishing His Kingdom in our hearts so the world might know of our love. There is no higher calling. There is NOTHING ELSE.

So, I could write on and on and on and on about the revelation of the Gospel in my heart right now, and tell you of testimony after testimony of what God has done, is doing, and what He promises to do. I won’t because the answer is simple. He has placed something so big in my heart, that I could only complete it with Him, for Him, and with Him in mind. He is the one I long to please. And yes, I could never really please Him, but I choose to be ignorant enough to know that I can seek after His heart to see His purposes built, established, and accomplished in the earth, just as they are in heaven.

So in that, I pray that Lord, you would train us up to think of the future generations, to think outside of our box, and to think of your will, pre- the through the wringer of our own minds, and allow You to soak us with Your anointing - raw - powerful - purposeful in it’s distribution, that You might pour out your love, and allow our sons and daughters and grandchildren to see Your return because the great commission was accomplished in the earth out of the earnest prayer, intercession, worship, and love and care that You instructed us to operation in and around.

Blessings be to our God, the Lord of hosts, and the lifter of our heads. May You never cease to show us how big You are, how loving You are, and how worthy You are.

Blessed be the name of the Lord, and may fire come in the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel, revealing the only burning man, Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the way the truth and the life - leading us to eternal life of submission and service to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

These are thoughts from a recent response to some questions that were posed about the Burn and its purpose, and some good points to remember why we do what we do, and why it looks the way that it does.

“I think if I had to narrow the mission and vision down to simple statements they would look like this:

Mission: “To connect, inform, and train people dedicated to worship and prayer for ministry until the return of the Lord.”

Vision: “The vision is a unified body seeking the Presence of God - through worship.”

I feel like we see an example of this described in Luke 2, when the angels proclaim the will of God in the earth, that Christ has come to/for all men, and through Christ peace and goodwill to all men. I feel like UNITY is what my life and personality were engineered for, and I have been working and praying very hard for opportunities to do more things in this arena.

I feel like the Burn is something that will continue to develop into something that is more corporate, but the goal in it’s present stage is not to create a corporate worship environment, but to allow people room to worship and pray out of their heart without time constraints, or limitations that can be placed by working to guide an audience or congregation into that secret place with the Lord. This doesn’t mean that there is no room for corporate prayer or worship or prayer.

In my opinion, it feels as though the corporate elements of unity also form around the perimeter of the Burn, in relationships that are being developed by business leaders, pastors, intercessors, ministry leaders and many other forms of influence in this city in particular. I have watched a network begin to form and see relationships develop, house church networks link up with traditional church, business link up with ministry etc. It is my heart that these sorts of endeavors will form themselves around a vertical channel that is dedicated to worship of JESUS, the King, and the Father, for the good things they have done. We work hard to be His hands and feet, and we find ourselves gaining a new revelation of love, grace, mercy, faith, self-control, kindness, and sort of good fruit, and subsequently our hearts respond to this revelation and we have to worship. We cannot worship without this revelation, and that is why we come to an environment where there are no guidelines for what we do, but parameters, rather, that I feel can provoke us to make our sound and dance our dance that is unique to our person, taking our hearts and minds and souls out of the box so that he can see the real us, and he can see our heart for worship - which goes beyond songs so many times.

The Burn is such an interesting thing. For as much time and energy that I have put into this for the past four years, I want to hope that it is turning into something that I can wrap my mind around, unfortunately, I don’t think that is going to happen! We have expanded to over 75 cities nationwide with this in the last two years. The Burn’s purpose is to allow/provoke us to seek His presence on His terms. There are actually times at the Burn when it does veer towards a corporate worship set, or corporate prayer set. I have seen this happen many times. However, we want to honor the Lord, as this is our 100% vertical channel, worship.

July is here. The birth month of the United States of America, the beginning of the 232^nd year of its life and a new season for the Burn Tulsa.

This being the birth month of the United States, it seems appropriate to recall some of the history of this nation. Conceived in 1630 and called ‘the shining city on a hill’ birthed in 1776 by the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a signing inspired by the cry ‘God has given America to be free!’ The freedom that God has given this nation has allowed a platform to be built from which the gospel is being preached like never before. The freedom in this land has enabled some of the greatest inventions which are used to bring the gospel to the farthest parts of the earth. Electricity was discovered here, the telephone invented, the Wright brothers flew, all because we have been allowed to dream in this nation and see our dreams fulfilled.

Some say that freedom is never one generation away from being lost. God has a plan for this nation, and it will come to pass. We are the ones who are bringing it to pass! We aren’t the only ones, but we do have a part to play, a song to sing, a stone to place in the house of God which will remain forever. What will be said of us 100 years from now, 1000 years from now? Will we look back on our lives we lived today with regret, or will we along with the thousands of lives we touched look on these days and say the darkness kept passing away and the true light continued shining as God crushed Satan under OUR feet. This is the Enoch generation, the generation that walks with God. We will fulfill our call!

I am still laying in bed. Yes, it is early, but I have been in and out of the ‘awake’ state since 6:00am. It is part of a new resolution that I have decided to participate in, to allow myself time in the mornings where my mind isn’t running a million miles an hour, and listen to His voice.

This morning I continue to lay here, with the lights off. I have some old school David Crowder from one of the original University Baptist Church recordings playing. The window is open about half way as there are low clouds, fog and constant rain pouring down just a few feet from my bed. The lightning cannot be seen, but the thunder makes itself known by rolling across Green Country in a non-inhibited - “YES. I AM HERE, AND I WILL BE HEARD.”

I am breaking. Everything in my life is being broken, my need to fulfill certain economic obligations, my need to plan and administrate a movement has been chipped and chopped, reducing my vision to something that can be held and placed in that little pocket, likened to the coin pouch in the front of your jeans.

My life is being boiled down to a mere willing heart and passionate soul. I know what I believe, and believe what I know. There is one Rock. I am dedicated to that truth. Other than that, there are plenty of things up for debate, and scrutiny, and discussion. For sure.

Back to lightning. I have an important meeting today, perhaps the most important meeting of my physical life. Perhaps this will catapult me to my dreams, to bigger things, to great reaches and deeper depths. No. Its simpler than that.

The Lord has placed me in this time and this position to do one thing. I am to be a voice, just as thunder is. I am to repeat the words that God spoke this morning through the sound of thunder - “I AM HERE. I WILL BE HEARD.” I am so humbled. I am nothing. I have been broken, and taken from, and my vast visionary dreams for the end of poverty and development of underprivileged people groups have been laid down, as they are too big for me. Those are His things. He put them there. However, he put a bigger task in my hands, to speak truth and life, and a call to lay down our agendas to seek Him in the quiet place. To seek Him in the morning and night, at all times.

For those of you that have had dreams and visions and are working hard in ministry, remember that He is the One that gives and takes away. There is one voice that created Heaven and Earth. HE IS ALWAYS HEARD. Do not abandon the original purpose of your life - to speak of good news and great joy, which is for all flesh. We must proclaim Glory to God in the highest, and this will be a sign to all who believe, that there will be peace among those who sing to God, and the Lord will show His favor and pleasure in the praise of His people.

Strength and Honor to our God. Jesus be exalted as the savior of the world, teaching us how to please the Father in faith, in worship, and communion.

If I can learn the simple truth, whittled and boiled down to a concentrated shape and flavor, even if it means abandoning the idea that endowments and not for profit organizations and community endeavors, and business plans to increase ‘productivity’ of the gospel, then so be it. Not my will, but His be done. There is only so much we can do.

Jesus is the King sent from Heaven to show us love, show us servant hood, show us worship, and how to speak in authority The Truth - to show us the Father and His love for us. He is here, and we will until He returns still say as the Spirit leads, “COME! SHOW UP IN POWER! SHOW UP LORD! WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT YOU AND YOUR PRESENCE! WE MUST SEE YOU! WE MUST KNOW YOU! JUST DON’T HIDE YOUR FACE! YOU ARE EVERYTHING THAT MAKES US STILL ALIVE!”

I was just talking with a buddy, and well, I found it again. Scripture is so confirming that we are to seek Jesus, who pursues the will of the Father for/in/through us. He has interceded for us, and speaks to us through the Spirit. Jesus, the spoken word of God, breathed into man in the beginning. My saving Grace, my Salvation, my source of Light, and hope of a new dawn (Luke 2:76-79 Luke 1:76-79)

We are to seek Jesus. The King of all kings, Lord of lords. Perfect and righteous one! To think that scripture won’t return void! (Isaiah 55) The promises of God will not return to Himself empty, the author and finisher (perfecter) of our faith. The prayers of a righteous man availeth much - Jesus was a man yes? Was his prayer that all men might know Him (Jesus), the One God hath sent? Peter then tells us God is not slack on His Promise (which is salvation for all who call on his name), that Jesus came, that we might know Him, the One true God!

ANYWAY - Rabbit trail - The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. We are amazed in cathedrals and museums that depict works of incredible accomplishment in their beauty. They suck our attention into focus; causing us to remember the Good Lord; beautiful works of art in these massive structures which give us incredible glimpses to heaven - high ceilings drawing our attention upward. This is the mind-blowing concept, for all of you that have stayed tuned in long enough to hear - The Earth was created. God was pleased with it, including the man he placed in it. The earth is to be His cathedral. The works of our hands shall proclaim the beauty and righteous splendor of God. Our praise of Him is His Glory. Therefore, when we align ourselves, in that we are beings of worship to the Most High God, we join creation in singing Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty! Who was! Who is! He’ll come again!Divine purpose is that we would be sanctified by the Father’s truth, as His word is Truth. (John 17:17)

So most of this is probably random, as my mind cannot even begin to capture the goodness that is in the air right now, nor write half as fast as I am thinking. Therefore, you get pieces, and you can read pieces, and I pray that you find some sort of a deeper revelation of intimacy, glory, salvation, LOVE most of all, and acceptance of you into the Kingdom that God has called you toward through Christ, THE KING over all the earth. Serve Jesus, and you will know the will of the Father, Creator. Which is to know Him (Christ) whom God has sent.Let us sing your praise oh God of the Heavens! Let our music and service to your Son, King Jesus be the drawstrings that loose the glory of heaven on the earth! May we recognize you as the Maker of all things good, including the Word, which You spoke in the beginning before time!

PRAISE BE TO JESUS OUR REVELATION OF LOVE! YOUR UNCONDITIONAL MERCY SHALL PREVAIL ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE! OH AGELESS ONE! YOUR DAYS CANNOT BE COUNTED AS YOU EXIST BEYOND TIME! THEREFORE SHALL MY PRAISE OF YOUR GLORIOUS SPLENDOR BEGIN NEW THIS DAY!I WILL NOT BE KEPT SILENT! I WILL NOT BE KEPT SILENT! I WILL NOT BE KEPT SILENT! HOLY HOLY HOLY! LORD YOU ARE ALMIGHTY! YOU HAVE COME! YOU ARE HERE! YOU ARE COMING AGAIN!
