There’s a generation rising that is relentless in their pursuit of the King.  We are meeting these “Burning Ones” everywhere we go, usually during the “night shift” of the Burn. They have been ruined for the ordinary life and feel out of place in the “American dream driven”, materialistic, nine-to-five world they find themselves in. They feel compelled and called to minister to the heart of God and will find any place that has opened the doors for this…this is why they have found the Burn!  Yet these Burning Ones don’t want to just sit in the prayer room, they want to be on the front lines.  I’ve heard many of them say that they have felt called to this life of worship and intercession but to missions also and as a result they don’t see where they fit in the current order of things. However we are beginning to see with greater clarity that God is merging these two movements together and now we see a generation that was born for this moment in time!  The “Burning Ones” are rising and they have set their sights on nothing less than global awakening.

A new breed of ministrel/missionaries are crying out to be poured into by spiritual Father’s and Mother’s and we will not and cannot ignore their cry. They are desperate to have relationship and to be sent!  As a result, we have received a mandate from the Father to equip and release this burning tribe to take their place as intercessors, prophets, minstrels and artist in the great unfolding drama of the Great End-time harvest!    The Burn will be launching a 6 mo- 1 year internship, called the Burning Ones,  in order to prepare and launch these fire brands into the darkest parts of the earth!   We believe that God will hear the cries of these Burning One’s and bring a massive harvest of souls among the nations of the earth. I’m sitting at the Burn while a team from Korea are pouring out their worship to the Lord and crying out to the Lord for Turkey. Their passion is intense and their is such an authority on their prayers. I feel like God has sent in the Korean’s as front line soldiers! They have such an incredible anointing for spiritual warfare…its like I can see them in the spirit moving huge boulders out of the way and clearing the way in the heavenlies so the gospel can go forth!

The Burn launched yesterday with such an incredible sense of the presence of the Lord.  We discovered that their are eight houses of prayer being launched in Turkey and many of them were ignited after the first Burn launch last October.  God is raising up an incredible prayer movement and is preparing the way for a massive harvest. There is such an expectation in the atmosphere and the prayer room is crowded almost all the time with people singing, pacing, dancing, waving flags, and praying!

We are definitely in the middle of a history making shift in this nation. We will look back on these days of God-ordained prayer and see them as the forerunner to the great harvest in Turkey!

The team is doing well. We had a couple of people struggling with sickness but they are all doing better…I think they were mainly worn out because we hit the ground running and didn’t have time to recover from our jett lag.

NEW PROJECTS IN THE WORKS!!

In Seattle this weekend and enjoying the glory of the Pacific NW!! There is just nothing like it on earth!

I just wanted to make you aware of some exciting sounds and projects in the works for this fall and early next year!!

I would recommend grabbing the digital downloads from the store because there are 4 UNRELEASED BONUS tracks that are not on itunes and only released as downloads through the www.seanfeucht.com store.

The project is more of an “experience” that a list of crafty songs. It was actually caught in a heavy atmosphere of the Glory and Presence of the Lord earlier this year in this very city I am writing from and I believe carries something on it. Make sure you grab that today!

1) NEW SEAN FEUCHT LIVE ALBUM.

- This will be a compilation of songs from live sessions this year where God moved powerfully in cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Virginia Beach, Dallas, and more! There will be many new songs on the album as well as prophetic and spontaneous moments that were caught on tape. This is also a first of its kind and we are pumped to see it come together.

2) FIRST CHRISTMAS ALBUM EVER!!!

- Thats right. I’m finally doing it. People have been bugging me for years on this and I think i’m gonna have to break down and record 7-8 of my favorite Christmas songs in laid back style with guitar, piano, beautiful female voices (gotta have it) and percussion. People love Christmas music and this will be a good one to grab to get you in the mood for the season.

3) FIRST LIVE BURN 24-7 INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM.

- This will be a followup to the “LIVE FROM FURNACE” album released earlier this year and we’ll record it in October in Knoxville, TN. We’ve never done anything like this and will include different musicians, instruments, and crazy sounds we’ll incorporate and weave it all together. Its gonna be so much fun.

Look for release in Jan 09.

4) BACK TO THE STUDIO AFTER 4 YEARS!!!

- In March 2009 I will begin working and crafting out my first studio album in 4 years in Charlotte, NC and Nashville, TN. Its going to be unlike anything i’ve ever done before with almost all new songs and sounds that have not been on a prior album. I cant wait!!

Urgency for America
Its midnight here in America’s heartland and its good to be home. There is nothing like being home (with my wife of course!) and I believe the dramatic increase of international travel in the past three years has helped shape me into one of the most patriotic people I know. I simply love America and am honored to grow up in this nation founded on Biblical values with true freedom. I didn’t say the men that founded the nation were perfect in all they did…but it’s an undeniable fact that our Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights (founding documents of the nation) reflect a Biblical worldview under “God we trust.” Anyone that feels otherwise needs to visit Washington DC and Jamestown (where the first cross was planted) and soak in the heritage I am speaking of before taking on a cynical and liberal spirit of a “post-modern” generation. The fact that a 70,000 strong army of lovers of God gathered last month America’s capital overlooking the Washington Monument, Capitol Building and Whitehouse to contend for revival with groans, songs, and prayers says something about where we live. I have done more defending and praying for this nation in the past year than my entire lifetime and will not rest until we see every promise fulfilled.

During last few weeks abroad in Indonesia and Australia, God has completely stricken me with the urgency of the hour for my nation. A series of gripping dreams concerning our current crisis (the last happened on the flight home) as well as the deep groanings of spontaneous intercession invading my peace intensified an already throbbing desire for mercy and grace to wash over the land from coast to coast. As soon as I stepped off the flight crossing the International Date Line from Sydney into mainland America, this burden increased exponentially. I could feel and smell things in the atmosphere I had not felt or smelled before. It is like the smell of a house that hits you the first time you walk in. The people living there cannot smell it because they live in it all the time and their senses are dulled. But upon your first time entering, your senses are alive and the odor is poignant and real.

America must have authentic breakthrough. America must have a revelation of the Presence, grace, love, and fear in the One true God. Tonight as we held our national conference call with Burn Directors all over America…this deep thing rose up in me again that I cannot explain. Knowing that God is longing and looking for a community to be clothed with a ’spirit of hospitality’ in their cities and literally “host” sustained ‘resting places’ for Gods Presence, we must not rest till this end. It is our only hope as a nation.

“Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?”
Isaiah 66:1

These words have echoed in my mind, heart, and spirit ever since I left on my trip three weeks ago. I’m not talking about “a ministry” as we know it. He could care less about our “ministries” at this point. We are far too steep into a massive crisis to promote our useless and pathetic agendas. He is on a search for desire, zeal, and a people that will posture themselves as HOSTS of His glory AT ALL COSTS! He cares little about our albums, gigs, conferences, reputations, and motives that barely reflect the true yearnings and desires of His heart in this hour!! If we aren’t careful, they can just be a poor showcase of our futile gifts lacking the true weight of His BURNING heart for cultural restoration and a national awakening. I’m talking to myself here now too! We can’t even do our nifty evangelism and outreach programs until we have a place to USHER the broken and lost into where God actually is our midsts!

Right now we are heading into the most important elections of our short history as a nation (I know some say this every 4 years…but this time its really true!!). We are on the verge of having a President and leadership possibly stepping into lead America that is forcefully and shamelessly pushing the pro-choice, homosexual, and liberal agenda while believers are busy squabbling over if He is a true believer or not. IT DOESN’T EVEN MATTER! The judgment swiftly coming from the crying blood of 50 million murdered babies will not rest! The massive impact of the homosexual spirit that has aggressively infiltrated society is taking its toll! Shall we succumb to the apathetic movement flooding churches and the people of God everywhere to “be relevant” and “think positive” while our nation is on a fast track to the enemy’s destruction? We can’t afford this horrible state of denial right now. We’ve come too far from the founding roots of true Biblical and godly heritage to be pushed back in this “year of new beginnings” for America.

The nations are scoffing at us. Trust me, I’ve been around this year and have heard what they are saying and proclaiming in their horribly propaganda. It’s caused me to grieve like never before.

They say:
Where is the God of America?

All the while, the Spirit says:
Where are the God-fearing Americans releasing midnight groans, fervent prayers, and songs of deliverance to push back the thick black darkness and confusion veiling the nation? Where are the psalmists and minstrels clothed with the “garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Is 61)? Where are those crying out “day and night” of whom He will not keep “putting them off” (Luke 18)?

I’m not writing this to push an agenda of a party. I AM SIMPLY GRIPPED WITH THE URGENCY OF THE HOUR AND CANNOT REMAIN SILENT!!
WAKE UP AMERICA!!! WAKE UP CHURCH!!! WAKE UP SLEEPING BRIDE!! WAKE UP BURNERS AROUND THE WORLD AND LET THIS ‘HOUR OF URGENCY’ PROVOKE YOU TO RADICAL FASTING, FEROCIOUS PRAYERS, AND UNENDING WORSHIP!

History will be made this fall as we approach this major shift in the United States of America. We must be those who write it.

I am ruined.. my heart… my life… my relationships. Every part of my life has been invaded by this beautiful one that has captivated my gaze. I have felt the emotions of God for my generation, my region, my county, and for the first time in my life I am without persuasion motivated to know those emotions once again. Everything in my life comes down to this… that the sovereign God of all the universe has come down to me and allowed me to feel a microscopic portion of what He feels for mankind. I am ruined…

Sunday morning I was listening to Corey Russell speak on eternity and he said something that has continued to consume my thoughts. He said that a lack of vision equals laziness. I realized that my desire to just sit and allow life to happen to me is stemed from a lack of vision for my life. He spoke on not wasting any time in our days… not having any regret for the time spent on Earth. I do not want stand before the God of all eternity and realize that the time I spent on Earth was wasted performing medial tasks and that the only feeling I have left is regret… Regret is a frightening thing… I do not want to have any regret in my heart. Yet.. I look back at the past 24 years of my life and realize that I do regret. BUT… today is a new day! I am choosing to recognize who I am today! I AM MADE FOR WAR!!!

The Lord gave me a vision of myself a while back and I was fully clothed in armor standing prepared for war, and yet I seemed to be confused … like I didn’t quite know what to do with my feet. Like I was stuck! I was prepared for war… yet my whole body was paralyzed. The Lord since has been speaking to me telling me that I need to have purpose in everyday that I spend on this Earth, this is what will bring the needed momentum to move forward. My life was not given to me to be wasted by the mind-sucking entertainment industry or distracted by the emotional wounds of my life. I was made to be girded up with the truth of the Lord and then sent into battle!! I believe that many of you may feel like you are in the same situation. It’s so easy to get consumed with the paralyzing pain that life can hand us or even to be distracted by the mundane activities of day to day life. But.. beloved YOU WERE MADE FOR WAR! Your heart cries to stand and fight for truth. The enemy wants so much to have you believe the lies that being alive means surviving. You were made to know the very heart of God!! You were made to be sent as a messanger of His heartbeats… you were sent to be changed into His image fully everyday… you were made to be struck with suck an awesome realization!

When I was in DC the Lord began to show me His emotions toward a generation and handed me a new weapon… intercession. I believe that intercession is the identity of the body of christ. Our battle cry is for the Lord’s heart, and as He releases it we are moved to intercession for our own souls and the souls of our communities, regions, nations, and all of mankind. THIS IS WHAT WE WERE MADE FOR… TO MOVE IN THE SWELLS OF THE FATHER’S HEART… TO STAND AS WARRIORS ON THE WALL OF OUR CITY FEELING THE FATHER’S HEART AND CONTENDING FOR THAT WHICH HAS BEEN LOST!!

Precious Burnites… I may not have understood until now… but this is what the Burn is all about… this is the singular focus of our lives. Worship is our battle cry! We stand on the wall of the River Valley for hours on end contending for the Father’s heart… simple… we just want to feel His emotions and be moved in intercession for Jesus to be shown strong to our generation. EVERYTHING ELSE IS SECONDARY…

We have a Burn in a couple of weeks, and I ask that if you want to know the Lord’s emotions towards you, your family, your region. Come and “waste” a few hours getting to know the greatest lover of your heart.

“The Power of Your Presence”

My time in Borneo, Indonesia was incredibly fruitful, powerful and life impacting. It was a joy and honor to spend time contending for the soul of the largest Muslim nation in the world with our first long term team (Burn Team Asia) and a few other radicals that jumped over for a month from the States to pour gas on the fire. The ministry was pretty nonstop most days, but it’s definitely the place where you want to be poured out “like a drink offering” on a nation that is home to 23 unreached people groups representing millions upon millions who have still never heard the name of Jesus.

I was looking forward to coming back to Sydney for an extended weekend with hot showers, beautiful mixture of old and new friends, and tons of hungry hearts. I arrived back into the city this morning (on another red eye flight) and after I took a quick nap, ventured out to get some fresh air. I had no clue that God was going to bomb me with one of the most amazing encounters of my life.

This afternoon I hiked around the glorious trail from Bronte Bay to Bondi Beach to get out in the beauty of this land and adjust to another time zone. Something about God’s creation revitalizes and refreshes me. The weather here is breezy cool and dry as they are coming out of winter to welcome the springs warmth. It was an incredibly magnificent journey with stunning views from the seaside cliffs all along the south coast of Sydney.  As I continued walking, my fascination with the ocean grew incredibly strong. I was mesmerized and drawn to it. The Lord began to speak so clearly to me. He said, “Look at the ocean.” As I was looking out, I was overwhelmed with the raw powerful energy of the ocean as the waves pounded against the rock cliffs jutting out into the sea. The wind raging, the current swirling and the waves mounting up created this psychotic pulsating rhythm of its own that was uncontrollable and untamable. It was an absolutely staggering moment. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the ocean act like it was today – with all the whitewash it was even hard to see the turquoise blue color underneath. Even at Australia’s premier surfing hot spots, no one dared to get out in this swell! People all over were gawking in amazement with frightened looks.

The Lord spoke again: “This is a picture of what the great end time move of my Presence will look like.”

I was baffled as I realized this was the answer to my question I had asked the day before on top of the Menara Tower overlooking the vast Asian metropolis of Kuala Lumpur. As I viewed mosques littering the city as far as the eye could see, I was overcome with a longing more than ever to see the King return in all of His majesty to the billions of souls in the surrounding 10/40 window nations. In that moment my soul was filled with a passion I did not even know existed and I shouted out “When is this next move of your Spirit going to come and what will it look like?” I heard no response except a few strange looks from those Asians looking out around me. The lack of answers didn’t really bother me that much because it is one of those questions you just don’t think you will hear back on anytime soon. My weak faith told me it was just another thing I would “figure out” or it would unfold before me as I lived life.

That all changed today.

As I took in the panoramic of this raging ocean, the Spirit was downloading to me the revelation of what was being spoken. I began to understand this would be a fierce, violent, and offensive move and not really at all what I expected. He spoke again “It’s a move of the overwhelming POWER of my Presence.” I began to watch the raw surging power of the ocean grip my heart and I felt the glory of God come over me. I started to weep right there on the cliffs watching this all unfold. He continued: “It’s a move that will stun and shock humanity as I pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Nothing will stop the deep waters of my Presence as they wash over the nations.”

I then began to shake as images from the last week with the faces of those villagers living in the deep jungles of Borneo flashed before my eyes. I understood that this next move is something beyond what we could imagine…above styles, hype, and even anointings,…It is His Presence taking over complete control.

As my gaze was fixated on the swirling sea, something about it beckoned me to jump in and get pounded by the waves. I said, “But God I want to be apart of that move! This is what I’m living for! I’ve given all to it!”

The Spirit spoke to me saying, “You must first lose everything - your titles, rights, accomplishments, reputations, safety, security, religion, and anything else that could get in the way. They will not help you in these waters – they are too deep and too dangerous. I am in control and the glory is in the power of my presence.”

WOW.

After a long pause, I just whispered out “I’ve given up a lot Lord and I’ll give up more.”

Then I heard, “You are still too safe, Sean. You are too safe. You are too safe. You are too safe. My church is too safe. She must risk it all. She must risk it all and come into the treacherous waters of my Presence. She must lose herself in my waves as I usher her into something greater.”

The Spirit then began to reveal to me the safety of my own heart and everything I’m still clinging too for security in my life. As a prerequisite for this coming move, God will only allow a nameless and faceless people who will risk their entire lives, family, finances, reputations, and fame to jump in the deep ocean waters of His Presence and be carried on the wave of His Spirit that will wash over every nation, tribe, and tongue in the world in the coming days! This is a people that understand in doing so…they could lose their lives…but it’s a risk they are all willing to take. These are not ankle-deep wading waters, but ferocious waters to swim in that “cannot be crossed” by our own abilities and performance (Ezekial 47:5).

Then came the sound, the sound, the sound of the waters roaring began to move me.

The ocean was raging so loud that it made it hard to think at times. I remembered a book I once read on sound waves and frequencies. The ocean noise and waterfalls are some of the only “sounds” on the earth fulfilling the entire sound spectrum. The sound frequencies that are audible to the human ear are between 20 and 20,000 hertz. Those sounds below 20 hertz are felt more than they are heard while those above 20,000 could cause major hearing damage with prolonged exposure. The noise of this ferocious riptide was covering the entire grid of sound. It is like that sound from Heaven mentioned in Revelation 14:2:

“And I heard a sound from Heaven like he roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder.”

The Spirit spoke to me again, “The nations will know my Presence is coming at the Sound that comes forth from the waters.”

I was standing in shock as the ear-splitting ocean noise grew louder and louder in my head.

With all this madness that was happening around me and the deep emotion being released from the inner core of my being, I opened up my Bible to see if I could possibly find anything to bring confirmation to all this. As thumbed open the page, this was the very first line I read:

“You have overwhelmed me with all your waves.” – Psalm 88:7

There is a generation and people that God is looking to overwhelm with His great end-time move. It will come and come swiftly. Those wanting to be in middle of this move must jump in the treacherous deep ocean waters. They must RISK RISK RISK all safety and security.

It’s the move of the Power of His Presence.  A move where His glory would be known throughout the entire world and all fame, accolades, and attention would be on HIM!!

We’ve waiting our whole life for this Lord! Creation has groaned for this. We jump in with all we are, We jump into your mighty surging waves and breakers! We risk EVERYTHING knowing one second in the middle of this move of the Power of your Presence is worth it all!!

This has been an amazing season for our BURN 24-7 tribe all across the globe! Our U.S. cities have quickly been positioned as the Esthers of America, contending for the destiny of a nation. God’s scepter is continually stretched over our worship as we sing and decree His will over the land. Recently, I have been reminded of a vision I had five years ago of America. I remember praying with much fervor as the Lord took me up in the spirit where I saw the continent of the United States below me. The land mass was sunk into a deep pit. Standing in the atmosphere above America were tons of young people with instruments in their hands. They were playing and singing passionately before the Lord. Then I saw ropes dangling from these worshipers which stretched all the way down to the very ground of the nation. As they played, they began to pull America out of her pit!!!! These young people were “David’s” hurling rocks and taking out giants in the land. They were “Miriam’s” who led the people out with their praise. We are in that season now. Our non-stop, unrelenting vertical worship is changing the very core of America!! And… we have no other option!

We just finished the most strategic time together as the BURN tribe since its inception. Most of our directors gathered from all over the nation for our yearly BURN 24-7 summit in Washington DC. We presented strategy for cultural transformation, financial updates, web gear and many other foundational basics to help us in establishing Davidical worship in all the earth. We had powerful times of intercession and worship together over our nation. We had a friend come and share a word from the Lord for the BURN 24-7 tribe. I was stirred to my core as he wept before us crying out “You are the singing prophets of the land!!! SING! SING! Sing over the President and America!!” It was no accident that we met in the governmental capital of our nation. God wants to establish the government of God first and foremost in the land of America!!!

Many of the directors have expressed new vigor and encouragement to stand for their city!! We are receiving a second wind to blaze the nation!! There are also many new people taking up the torch to BURN in their cities as well as many college and university students ready to blaze campuses all over the U.S.!! 2009 will be an unprecedented year for radical worship to King Jesus in our nation. The concept of the tabernacle of David is about to capture the heart of America!!

DEFIANCE RAGES IN THE RING OF FIRE
Tonight, the incense of beautiful and fragrant midnight worship is rising from this blazing furnace on the west coast of the island of Borneo in the largest Muslim nation in the world. The sounds coming forth are pounding truth and hope into the dark core of Indonesia while unveiling the staggering lamp of His Presence that shames all other fake lights.
This week has been an incredible journey into the heart of the largest island in Indonesia. We’ve burned and released praise on the highest mountain places in the land and visited the villages hidden deep in the jungle (I mean deep!!) to stir up fresh hunger for His Presence. On just my fourth time visiting this gorgeous string of more than 10,000 islands littered over the South Pacific “Ring of Fire,” I feel I’ve fallen in love with this nation of destiny all over again. On the heels of The Call gathering two weeks ago, in which over 1 million youth gathered in 5 stadiums around the nation, there is electricity in the air that I have not felt in prior visits.
Today we held a lunch to meet and share our hearts with the top 50 apostolic leaders and pastors from all over the region. The current surge of true unity and humility among the leaders in this nation has never been stronger. They are giving up trying to build their church and God is beginning to build his church centered around His Presence across the nation. We had the most amazing time together as the long-term BURN ASIA team, short-term Indonesia team, and I imparted and released this Davidic mandate with these beautiful warriors of God. They were blown away by our sacrifice, passion, and dedication for God’s Presence to invade their nation, asked us many questions, pledged their wholehearted support, and we ate some good fried chicken and rice together (they love the stuff!). It was a time I’ll never forget.
Yesterday the Lord put me in a hilarious situation and bombed me with a heavy revelation while I was speaking to a few hundred youth at a local church in town. They came streaming in from many churches all over the city wanting to hear the white man speak and hear what this BURN stuff was all about. I prepared some typical missions encouragement teaching for the night but scrapped it at the last minute because I thought it was too common, easy, and lame (I often do that). So I just started going off about the Davidic anointing on this generation and how God is on the search for those hearts. I said that He wasn’t interested in “good youth church kids” but the wild worshipping, crazy, feisty crew that would fight for His Presence at all costs.
The revelation came when I realized how DEFIANT David was against the systems, cultures, and enemies of God in his day. In 1 Samuel 17, He came out against his brother’s wishes to see what this talk of Goliath was all about. He fought just to get to the fight – imagine that! When he finally arrived, this little ruddy and handsome boy asked this question revealing his contempt: “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that He should defy the armies of the living God?” (Verse 26). Little David’s heart was bigger than any soldier in Saul’s army and was overcome with holy anger towards this enemy blaspheming His one true God. He did not resort to fear and toleration (like many teachings in our day). He did not bow out due to “respect” or “courtesy.”  He loved God way too much to do something foolish like that. He blatantly and ferociously attacked this principality that stood in between his nation of destiny and God’s perfect plan of freedom. I began to compare this simple Bible story to the current crisis in Indonesia. There is a massive Goliath in the land wreaking havoc all over this nation of destiny. So where are the David’s willing to stand up and slay the giant of Islam? Who will stare it in the face and beg the question “who is this uncircumcised Philistine that He should defy the armies of the living God?” I realized that I was practically yelling at this point in my delivery and the youth were totally stunned and stirred…but mostly stunned. I shared that God is raising up warriors with the sound of raw Davidic worship louder than the ugly chant of the many mosque’s flooding the atmosphere over the island with darkness and fear. Again, they were stunned. This didn’t stop me and I kept it rolling. I then invited those longing to be filled with a fiery jealousy to come forth and receive. They came running down and we began to lay on hands and pray for them. The Holy Spirit blasted through the room like something mighty fierce. Demons manifested and were cast out of those shaking on the floor, youth everywhere were weeping and falling out under the power, and encouragement, faith, and true defiance was released on a David generation. It was one wild night!
I didn’t find out until after the service was over that the church was strategically surrounded by three of the largest mosques in town. The pastor said they could most definitely hear what going on from the church (they turn their speakers up so insanely loud in these nations and we had a translator!) and that is why everyone was stunned I would say such things. He thought it was kind of funny and agreed the Church needs to rise up with the power and presence of the Lord that defies the lies and bondage of Islam holding the promises of God for the people at bay.
The Lord spoke clearly to us last year as we were praying about where to launch our first furnace in the nations (outside of the USA). We were in a season of intercession for the wall of Islam to fall over every nation and the billions of souls around the world its hideous grip are strangling out. The Holy Spirit spoke to me in a dream that if Islam is to crumble across the world…Indonesia would have to come down first. We sent our first BURN 24-7 short term team of 24 last year as a result and followed that up with a long term BURN ASIA team committed to one year of planting sustainable and enjoyable furnaces of night and day worship and prayer in the largest Muslim nation of the world. They have been doing an incredibly amazing job and are my new heroes in life.
So here we stand. Together with Indonesians from all over the Island at nearly 1am on Friday night, we are raising our voices in DEFIANCE at the Giants in the land and lifting a shout of Praise to the ONE TRUE BEAUTIFUL POWERFUL MAJESTIC INCREDIBLE GORGEOUS PERFECT HOLY WORTHY AND ONLY GOD OF INDONESIA!!

Here I sit watching the rays of the emerging dawn rising and reflecting off the tarmac at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Its that time of morning where a gentle stillness looms as the earth braces herself for another day full of humanities chaotic movements forced upon her.  I’m now in the heart of Southeast Asia and I’m totally wasted. My short weekend in Byron Bay, Australia was rich and full of incredible fire, love, and authentic beautiful relationship. That’s what I refer to as a “life-giving” experience instead the “life-draining” ones that are often encountered in these trips across the globe. This does not mean the latter trips are bad or not loads of fun…it just means you pour out a lot more than you get poured into.  I feel so at home with my friends in the Southern Hemisphere and that makes it hard to leave. They are most certainly my tribe.

Somewhere along the way in the church, people got the idea that a lifestyle of intense traveling with a rigorous schedule bringing the truth of the Gospel to many nations, cultures, and LONG LONG plane flights was a glamorous act and something to be envied. I have gotten that feeling from friends and strangers quite a bit the past two years.  But today as I’m sitting alone (without my beautiful wife : ) listening to Norah Jones in a massively empty terminal deep in the heart of this Muslim Malaysian capital after concluding my 5th red-eye international plane flight in the last month…its not so dreamy anymore. This is where it becomes a true labor of love. Many times this morning have I asked the Lord why I do this. I’m asking God the same questions even my closest friends have asked me over the past two years like: Why do you want to leave your wife so much? Don’t you think your priorities should be family-first? Isn’t that the scenario that has got people in trouble in the body of Christ right now? Are you truly following God’s will or your own driven-ness? And the most frequented – Don’t you all need to get time away on a vacation for crying out loud? Those are ALL valid questions from really good friends and I’ve been really giving them more thought and prayer lately. So I finally asked God again today. [Side note: I’m reading “the shack” right now and its completely rearranging my view of who God is and how He interacts with us…its been incredible - plug: you need to read it if you haven’t!].

So I asked the Lord in the midst of all the open doors, increased favor, rigorous schedule, and the many nations, nations, nations that are burning a hole deep in my heart…….God, are you IN all this craziness? We all should ask Him that from time to time to check our hearts and motives. Am I just becoming the hamster on the wheel with ministry? The word overextended brings a whole new meaning to Kate and my life right now. We are so thankful for all the amazing people God gathered in Dallas to add their flame to this blazing inferno family (Dave, Melissa, Tracey, Smiths, Mauldin’s, and many more!!! We love you and thank God for you and your dreams for global revival!) Its not that I’m burned out and spent spiritually or even emotionally…I actually fill fuller and deeper than ever before…but my mortal body is just struggling to keep up with the fire inside me. The constant word spoken over and over again to Kate and I from prophets, pastors, friends, leaders, and even little kids remains the same. Things are going to keep increasing! The verse from Isaiah “enlarge the place of your tent” has been spoken over us at least 50 times in the last year….no joke!!! Just a few days ago in the Burn Byron Bay this 5-year-old girl walks up and hands me this little cute crumbled note on a scrap of loose paper. On the outside she scribbled “Dear Sean” and on the inside there was a picture of a fire drawn with metallic purple and pink markers. Below her drawing of the fire it read: “the fire will get bigger.”

If that is not prophetic I don’t know what is. And it came at a time I am possibly thinking about cutting some things out of this insane fall schedule with many international trips and Burn launches around the globe still to come. I began to ask God for a confirmation to the little girl’s note along with the other words. We need it for Kate and my peace of mind as well those people and friends that keep asking (side note: We’re so happy we have friends that truly care about us!!).

The Lord clearly said to me “Do not become weary, Sean.”

So I responded back to him..”Too late God…I’m already weary, tired, and MISS MY WIFE!!”

I was then immediately brought to the verse below that states:

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” - Galations 6:9

The instant I said that memories and flashbacks flooded my mind from the past year that are forever burned in my memory. The fullness and joy in the song the Turks released during their midnight set as if something had been unlocked that was shut out for ages, the Africans passionately beating the drums into the night as orphans galore, sporting the widest smiles you’ve ever seen, were running and jumping in endless circles around the Burn in Uganda, the Chinese underground church as “dry kindling” with their tears, groans, and zeal truly catching the DNA of the BURN with urgency to bring it to every city in their nation.

Then came the lifeless faces of those caught in a veil of darkness and the depravity of Gods Presence on the Red Light District in Amsterdam, the massive rift between two brothers (Jews and Arabs) in Israel as they are consumed in hatred toward one another rejecting God’s forgiveness and perfect plan for them to coexist, the spirit of genocide raging in East Africa that has claimed over 9 million lives in the past decade, the church in the largest Muslim nation in the world (Indonesia) crying out for a release of the manifest Presence of God to break the thick veil of deception and terror on the nation..

That was enough explanation to last a lifetime. I was broken and consumed with the fear of God more than ever before in my life.

I want to encourage you all as we’re all on this journey together of having ourselves stretched beyond measure in a beautiful ministry of inconvenience…it’s a little uncomfortable now…but the reward at the end will be brilliant! Like it promises in Galatians…

…WE WILL REAP A HARVEST IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP.
