The next all night Burn Byron Bay event will be in Byron Bay on the 12th of April 2008 at a venue to be announced. We will post the venue location as soon as we know where it will be!

We had such a tremendous time on Friday the 14th of March that we can’t wait until the next one. The glory of the Lord is all over this thing. Hey! Phil here from New Earth Tribe, Byron Bay. Just wanted to let you know that I will be coming to Santa Cruz, California in June for an 18 day training event called ‘Taking Back the High Places.’ I will be joining Sean Feucht and Graham Cooke and we will be holding a Burn Event as part of the training school. The Burn will be on Wednesday the 4th of June and will be preceded by some teaching from Sean as part of the 18 day school. There are already a bunch of Burners from Fresno and the Bay area coming down to Santa Cruz to join us.  To find out more about this event click here. The vision is to equip on fire disciples to penetrate New Age/Postmodern culture with the kingdom ministry of Jesus. The Western world is in a full-tilt spiritual crisis right now. People are rejecting the concept of absolute truth and getting swept up in New Age spirituality. This event is about equipping people with a model of ministry that is having great fruit here in Byron Bay and Australia.

Approximately 100 million people in the United States have now been influenced by New Age spirituality to one degree or another, ranging all the way from hard core New Agers to those who have merely embraced a couple of New Age concepts. The Postmodern mindset has affected nine out of ten people aged between 18 and 35. Our culture is in crisis and the church is confronted by the challenge to reach a generation that has been swept up in New Age spirituality and Postmodern relativism.

We would like to invite you to a unique equipping event unlike anything that we have previously seen on offer to the body of Christ in the United States. Our goal is to take successful applicants through a two and a half week intensive journey of transformational interaction and impartation through teaching, evangelism, prayer, worship and ministry. The focus of this training event is to equip passionate disciples of Jesus to effectively respond to the crisis that we are currently experiencing in Western culture. The Postmodern mindset has almost reached saturation point in the West. The widespread rejection of absolute truth has permeated every aspect of our culture. Christianity has been relativised and marginalized as just one expression of spirituality amongst a broad range of spiritual options. New Age spirituality has become the spirituality of choice for many in the West and this has become one of the most prominent features of radical Postmodern culture. In the past few decades New Age/Postmodern culture has come to occupy the high places in Western culture and we believe the time has come to take back the high places! We are living in a season of extreme transition in the Kingdom and the greatest transition begins in our hearts as we take a hold of the vision of radical Kingdom ministry and learn to live at an entirely new altitude. God is equipping a new generation of warriors to join Jesus on the high places in the Spirit and to work with Him to reoccupy the high places in our culture.

 There we were praying all night long in the Byron Bay Community Centre with well over a hundred worshippers and intercessors who had gathered for the Burn Worship Festival in Byron Bay in February 2008. As the all night prayer meeting was coming to a close to make way for the resumption of the Worship Festival on the morning of Saturday the 16th, people who were driving toward Byron for the festival saw a portal opened in the sky immediately over Byron. No one had a camera so the event wasn’t captured on film but the portal looked exactly the same as another portal that appeared over Byron on August the 17th, 2006. I captured that one on film. I had just been preaching on the kingdom ministry of Jesus and one of our staff burst into the classroom of the Deep End School and announced that a sign had appeared in the heavens over Byron.  We all raced outside to be greeted by a sky blanketted with white cloud but with a blue oval shaped portal right over us with what looked like a dove descending through the portal. We had been praying for an open heaven over Byron for years and ever since that day we began experiencing a full on open heaven over our worship in New Earth Tribe. Byron is renowned as the biggest New Age stronghold in Australia. For years, believers visiting Byron used to complain about the oppressive atmosphere over the town because of all of the hard core New Age stuff that people had attracted to this place. Now believers who come here tell us that they can feel the presence of God all over the place. That’s a testimony to the power of prayer right there! Now we are seeing New Age people coming to Jesus all the time, often because of a healing or because they experienced the power or the love of Christ. Yay God! So, a second portal appearing over our city at the end of the all night Burn qualifies in my mind as a significant sign from God. Moooore Lord!

Byron Bay is located at the most Easterly point in Australia. Cape Byron is the first place to welcome the light of the sun in our nation. We are part of a church called New Earth Tribe which is the most Easterly charismatic church Australia. In this season of divine acceleration we are sensing a strong mandate to stand at the East Gate and to establish a Burn 24-7 to welcome the King of Glory with night and day prayer for the release of an unprecedented wave of supernatural glory to flood our nation. We invited Sean Feucht and Keith and Sanna Luker to come to Byron to launch Burn Byron. It was off the charts! We already have a bunch of on-fire prayer warriors with a passion to pray so it was time to go to the next level. We held the Byron Burn Worship Festival in mid February 2008. All we can say is WOW! God came in power and we had a real glory explosion. Sean led us in the Burn model with an all night worship and prayer event and our people now have real vision for the do-ability of this thing. So we are under way with an initial plan to do one all night Burn event per month with four big Burn summits per year. We are attracting people from the a hundred miles north and a two hundred miles south who want to come to the most Easterly point to burn all through the night. We are all sensing that we have set something in motion that is going to pick up more and more momentum. Lord, let Your glory fall!

I have been collaborating with Sean Feucht to run a Burn event in Santa Cruz, California next June. We have locked in a date. Sean will be in Santa Cruz from Tuesday the 3rd of June to Thursday the 5th. We will run an all night Burn on Wednesday the 4th of June at a yet to be determined location. The Burn will be run in conjunction with a 3 week training event that I will be running with Graham Cooke in the mountains of Santa Cruz called ‘Taking Back the High Places.’ This 3 week summer training camp is all about the church stepping into her calling to be the head and not the tail in the field of spirituality in our culture. The New Age has occupied the high places for too long. It is time for the church to take back the high places in our culture and this event is all about training believers to learn to live at a new altitude through equipping the saints with keys to penetrate New Age/Postmodern culture. We are stoked to announce that our Burn Worship Festival back in mid February 2008 with Sean Feucht has launched Burn Byron from now until the Lord returns. Our next event is on Saturday night the 15th of March at 9 PM at the offices of New Earth Tribe at 109 Jonson Street, Byron Bay. We’re gonna burn all night to 9 AM. Everyone is invited so please give us a call to book in for one of the four night watches. Each watch will last for 3 hours. So its 9 - 12 PM. 12 - 3 AM. 3 -6 AM and 6 - 9 AM. We will be having one Burn event per month at this stage but the 2008 calendar will be punctuated by a total of four big Prayer Summits. We’ve already had our first big event in the Byron Bay Community Centre last month (February). Our next big one will be Saturday night May the 17th followed by August (we are negotiating with Sean to see if he can jam us into his extreme schedule while he travels back to the Southern Hemisphere for Burn Bali in August/September). Then we have another big event planned for Friday night, the 31st of October at the Byron Bay Community Centre in conjunction with a conference with Graham Cooke.

So, to put it all in perspective we will do a total of one Burn per month but four of those will be bigger than the others.

Come and Burn all night long with us and pray for our region and for the nation of Australia that is so ripe for full scale Holy Spirit revival. We are in a kairos moment and the Spirit is saying pray, pray, pray and bring this thing to birth in our nation. It’s time for Australia to explode with a tsunami of supernatural glory and power!
