We’ve tenatively scheduled a Burn for March 28-29th, pending approval of the location.  As soon as that is locked in, we’ll post it here, so check back for more details.  Musicians, bands, and worship leaders, shoot us an email to request your favorite two-hour slot!

We’ve also scheduled a Burn Preview on April 25th, 7pm at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Grove City.  The address is 3005 Holt Rd, Grove City, OH 43123.  Thanks to the Vineyard for hosting us!  Sean Feucht, director of Burn 24-7 will be coming for an evening of worship, vision casting and getting blasted in God’s presence.  It’ll be a great time!  Bring your pastors and anyone else who wants to know what the Burn is all about.  It’s a great introduction.

Many of you have been contacting us and sharing the fire that it is in your hearts.  It’s a beautiful thing!  God has great plans for our region, and we’re privileged to be plowing with you.

Burn Columbus launched on New Year’s Eve 2007

This New Years Eve 2007 fresh fire was released in Columbus, Ohio!!  Columbus burned in the NEW YEAR for our first scheduled Burn of all time …. It all begins here and now!  We had expected to begin slow with a 4 hour burn, until the night went on and our flame would not go out … That 4 hours turned into 9 full hours with only 2 and a half worship bands —- WE LOVE YOU JESUS —- you are worth it.  The last four hours were an amazing symphony of worship orchestrated solely by the Holy Spirit as each musician in the house joined in with their own gifts, talents, and songs of the Spirit.  It was beautiful.  A special thanks to our host church Carmel Christian Center and their worshiping warriors.  Also our fellow burner Terrell from Burn Detroit—we are so blessed by your friendship and investment into Ohio’s fertile ground. May it return in abundance to Burn Detroit — we love you!

We are currently working to schedule Burns for February and March.  If your church would like to host one, please let us know.  We can send you some more detailed information to share with the leadership.  Mark your calendars now and spread the word…. APRIL 25th we will have a special Burn Preview with Burn24-7 director Sean Feucht (say it foyt) from Dallas, TX.  He has some great CD’s on the burn website so you can get a taste of his music ahead of time.  That man’s intense passion makes him a fire-starter everywhere he goes—you won’t want to miss it!

Still not really sure what Burn Columbus is?  Check out our website and read through the pages listed at the top of the screen.  We’re still adding info, so check back often.  Did a friend forward this to you?  Make sure you email us to get on the Burn email list yourself!

Get ready Columbus!  His Presence is settling over our region!

Emerging…

Hidden

In the cleft of the Rock

Covered by your hand

Safe

Quiet

Secure

Resting

Warm…

But sometimes cramped

No room to stretch

No room to grow, expand, reach

No fresh breezes

No sunshine on my face

No eye contact with You

When the healing is done

And the moment has passed

The transformation complete

You lift your hand

I see the Son

I feel the breath of your Spirit touch my face

I hear the songs of creation again

Emerging from this cocoon

I stretch my arms wide

Blood and strength flow through my veins

My wings pulse with your rhythm

Your breath begins to lift me up

Am I ready for this?

Ready or not, here I come

My feet leave the earth

I ascend into heavenly realms

I draw closer to You

Past the clouds that obscured my vision

Into the open expanse of the sky

What were those things I was so concerned about?

No matter now

I am soaring

Alone with my Jesus

Just the sun, the breeze,

And the azure expanse before me

This is freedom.

The Vision for Ohio

Posted by: Grace  in Category: Uncategorized
 December 28, 2007

Ohio is still “the heart of it all” and our passion is to see the Father’s heart revealed here.   Sometimes when all we see are dry bones, we need to remind ourselves of Ohio’s motto: “With God all things are possible.”  Get God’s perspective and see His army!  They are awakening!  Are you part of them?

There is a cry in this generation to get past the counterfeit, past the hypocrisy, past the empty traditions of men.  We gather to release that breaker anointing over our state, to break through the polished veneer of religion and release the true Presence of God.  It’s His Presence we’re after.  Our desire is to see Ohio become known as a place where His Glory dwells.

All of creation is crying out for the children of God to rise to their destiny.  Creation is groaning, waiting for us to get our song from heaven and sing it back to him.  We want to create a place where the Spirit can release those New Songs, a place where we can contend for the destiny of our region.  Our goal is simple—to create a dwelling place for the King of Glory so that His Light will dispel the darkness.

To borrow from Pete Greig…

The Vision is JESUS ~ obsessively, dangerously, undeniably Jesus.  The vision is an army of people.  You see dry bones?  I see an army.  They are free and yet they are slaves of the hurting and dirty and dying.  The vision is holiness that hurts the eyes.  It makes children laugh and adults angry.  It scorns the good and strains for the best.  It is dangerously pure.  This army doesn’t need fame from names.  Instead they grin quietly upwards and hear the crowds in heaven chanting again and again, “Come on!”

This is the sound of the underground.  The whisper of history in the making.  Shaking mediocrity from its cozy little hide.  Laying down their rights and their precious little wrongs, laughing at labels, fasting essentials.  With blood and sweat and many tears, with sleepless nights and fruitless days, they pray as if it all depends on God and live as if it all depends on them.  They had a blood transfusion with Jesus.  He breathes out, they breathe in.  Don’t you hear them coming?
